  • Where to buy healthy snacks online

Working from home has provided a welcome opportunity for me to take a deeper dive into the things that are most important in life, including personal wellness. Because people aren’t surrounding me throughout the day, I have many moments of introspection where I ponder on new ways to live a well-balanced, happy life. Along with these pondering moments comes the weakness of getting hungry! The truth is, I ponder best when I’m munching on snacks and health bars. To be clear, munching on snacks isn’t necessarily a bad thing if the snacks are healthy and your munch in moderation. So, while we’re all cooped up during these trying times, some may wonder, as I did, Where are the best places to buy healthy snacks online?

Here are some of my favorite places to buy healthy snacks online:

(1) Rhythm Superfoods

Snack I buy: Kale Chips

I stumbled upon Rhythm Superfoods as I was searching online for snacks made from kale. Although I grow plenty of organic kale in my garden, I’m not very good at purposing it beyond inclusion in a leafy-green salad or my poor attempt at recreating Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana.

Rhythm Superfoods has a great selection of kale chips in flavors like kool ranch, zesty nacho, original, and mango habanero. My favorite flavor is the kool ranch.

(2) Nuts.com

Snack I buy: Organic dried mango

The first thing that caught my attention with nuts.com was their claim that they were founded in 1929.  I found it amusing only because Google says “Nuts.com” was founded in 1929, 70 years before the .com era. Of course, when it was founded in the 20s, it was called something else: The Neward Nut Company. In 1999, the company went online using the domain nuts.com.

My all-time favorite product from nuts.com is their organic mangoes.  Usually, when I place an order for these delectable delights, I get a 5 lb bag, which lasts me a good month.

Something that helped me convert to Nuts.com (at least their dried mangoes) was their offer to provide inexpensive samples of products. At the time of writing this article, they are still offering a dried mango sample for $2.50.

(3) Costco.com

Snack I buy: Organic Crunchy Rice Rollers

You’re probably wondering why a big box store appears on my list of great places to buy healthy snacks online.  However, Costco has pleasantly surprised me with its expanding selection of organic foods and wellness products. Although I seldom go inside an actual Costco store, I do make purchases online often enough to justify the annual membership fee.

When I place an online Costco order, I usually add a few boxes of Bamboo Lane Organic Crunch Rice Rollers to the cart. Although they come 16 to a box, it’s astounding how quickly I munch through these things! I don’t want to say they’re addicting, but . . . they kind of are.

Conclusion about buying healthy snacks online

In conclusion, it’s important to remember that there are literally hundreds upon hundreds of great solutions for buying snacks online. The purpose of this blog post certainly isn’t an attempt to give an overview as much as it is to give a sampling. This is just enough to “prime the pump” as you begin stocking your pantry with healthy snacks that you choose and which suit your taste buds, health needs, and budget.
